lots more parking

It seems that every time I walk or drive in front of the Woolworth's building there are cars , often 2, parked in the bus stop and on the double yellow lines at the bottom of Plattsville Road. This can be at lunch time, during the evening rush hour and late in the evening.

More on parking and money deliveries

Monday (this is beginning to feel like a diary) 19:25 2 cars parked on double yellow lines - bottom of Plattsville and Allerton Road. 21:20 car in bus stop.

Tuesday 12:00 to 12:10 (all that I saw) money van blocking pavement outside the store.

At 13:00 there were 2 cars in the bus stop.

As Enterprise (on behalf of SP Energy) were digging up part of Allerton Road (Tuesday) there were long tail backs of buses and cars trying to turn right from Church Road/Smithdown Place into Allerton Road. The money van added to the squash when it had to drive over the pavement and out at Plattsville Road.

Parking and other issues

I have seen 3 deliveries: Saturday 30/10 @ 10 am; Monday 1/11 @3:45 pm (causing mayhem); Thursday 4/11 @8:00 am (problems for buses).

One of the delivery wagons went down Auckland Rd @ 7:35 am so presumably it had just made a delivery.

Cars parking outside store: 2 @3:45 pm 31/10; 1 @5:20 pm and 1@ 7:30 pm on 4/11.

Trolley in entrance to space behind Homelets, Wednesday 3/11 @ 21:00 (I had told the Security man about this earlier in the evening).

Thursday 4th November

Two residents witnessed a large box type van unloading Tesco cages outside the bank /Specsavers at 8am this morning.

9.00 am white van unloading papers/magazines right out side the store in the bus stopp/double yellow area

Wednesday 3rd November

Car parked in the bus stop at 10.40.

And here is something I didn't even consider - people taking the trolleys outside the store and abandoning them in Auckland Road. Very much a hazard! Can't imagine that one of the 'vast majority' of people walking to the store has abandoned it here?

Additionally, car doors slamming until 10.30......

Issues since Tesco opened Friday 29th - Tuesday 2nd

Almost immediately cars started parking in the bus stop. These two were taken one after each other at 11.30. The van driver was in the store and the car drivers passenger just 'popped in'.

This refrigerated van has been parked in the loading bay in Plattsville Road since Saturday, effectively blocking off the pavement.

SUNDAY EVENING - usually a time of peace and quiet was punctuated with the constant sound of car doors slamming. This went on until at least 9.40.

MONDAY EVENING - these photos were taken by Councillor Erica Kemp at 7.30. Three cars parked in the bus stop and all occupants going into Tesco and one car parked on double yellow lines.

Car door banging was intermittent but was fairly loud at 10.40pm

TUESDAY

My husband witnessed a taxi waiting in the bus stop whilst it occupant used the cash machine at 6pm, and when I returned home at 9pm, there was another car parked there.
